The Chairman, in his speech, highlighted clubs who were in the forefront of promoting Junior Badminton in England. Millbrook are to the first Performance Centre in Cheshire and Christleton are in the process of applying for this. He went on to pay tribute to the Hon Secretary, Wendy Copping, who was retiring at the AGM after some 25 years in Office and also the President, Roger Cash, who was also retiring and has served as Chairman and President for over 30 years and commenced his playing career in the early Fifties at Capenhurst and then St Mary's.
The evening was a great success with an excellent buffet provided by Airbus and the entertainment by Chris Kaye Disco. |
